This was an interesting brief. It was a logo for a new Christian Mens group. They couldn't decide whether to call themselves 'Routed' or 'Rooted' believing both had meaning. They wanted to encourage men to be ROUTED towards the cross, but also ROOTED in God's word. So they asked me to come up with a logo that somehow conveyed both
